About Barrington Tiger Academy

Barrington Tiger Academy is a modern fully equipped training facility (Dojang*). Our training areas have fully matted Olympic Swain floors (for safety first) and we have all the equipment needed to train any level of student from white belt to 8th Dan Black Belt.

Throughout the week you might find an intense Martial Arts class taking place, children and family Martial Arts class, a ground fighting class or Hapki Do self-defense training or advanced students sharpening their skills with traditional Kobudo weapons. 

Our school is filled with the sound of pads getting hit, swords clashing (padded w/helmets) and loud Kihaps! Every moment our students are being challenged, encouraged and taught to excel in their art, while having fun and making friends for life.

Barrington Tiger Academy also offers a complete selection of Martial Arts uniforms, training equipment, protective pads and traditional weapons available for purchase. 

Finally, to help maintain our student’s health and well being, we offer a full line of natural food supplements, energy bars and natural refreshment drinks.

*Dojang is a term used in Korean martial arts, like Tae Kwon Do and Hapki Do, that refers to a formal training hall. It is typically considered the formal gathering place for students of a martial art to conduct training, examinations and other related encounters.
